Former defender Michael Carton questions Dublin's progress under Ger Cunningham

Dublin’s season ended last night after a three point defeat to Cork in the hurling qualifiers.

THE DUBLIN MANAGEMENT team has come in for more criticism in the wake of their three point defeat to Cork in Pairc Ui Rinn last night.

This time it was Michael Carton who voiced his concerns about Ger Cunningham’s set-up after they exited the championship.

Carton was a long-serving member of the Dublin squad and quit the panel last year just days before an All-Ireland qualifier against Limerick.

Conal Keaney, who announced his retirement from inter-county hurling in April, was highly critical of the Dublin set-up after they went down to Kilkenny in the Leinster SHC semi-final.

Cork edged past Dublin by 1-26 to 1-23, although the visitors played the entire second-half with 14 men after Chris Crummey’s dismissal.

David ‘Dotsy’ O’Callaghan didn’t see any action against Cork, while Joey Boland, Danny Sutcliffe and Keaney opted out of the panel this season.
