BARCELONA MAINTAINED THEIR narrow two-point lead at the top of La Liga after a rampant 8-0 win away to Cordoba. Once again, their three-headed attacking monster was lethal, with Luis Suarez getting a hat-trick, Leo Messi bagging a brace and Neymar converting a penalty.

Pedro, Gerard Pique and Ivan Rakitic also found the net to give Luis Enriqueโs men a resounding win before his side host Bayern Munich in the Champions League semi-final first leg next week.
Their rivals Real Madrid will also be in Champions League action next week and they kept the pressure on the Catalans at the top of the table by edging Sevilla 3-2 on the road.
After Barcelonaโs match, a lot was made on social media about Messi overtaking Cristiano Ronaldo in terms of La Liga goals scored this season but the Portuguese star responded emphatically by slamming home a hat-trick of his own.
Carlo Ancelottiโs men face Juventus in their semi-final first leg next week.
This is the La Liga table at the moment.
Yes and yes. Was also great to see Tom Parsons on last nights panel.
@Sam Walsh: Be it on the Sunday Game last night or at the last Mayo match or on Off the Ball, every appearance heโs made since the injury would make you admire the man and his positivity. A tireless battler on the pitch and clearly the same off it.
@EnKy: a honest player.
Shane Walsh was the best player on the pitch in the Hyde by a country mile. There was no other contenders.
I thought John conlon would get it, his having a great year so far, a man with the strenght of 2 horses as buff egan would say !!!!
Tony Kelly for me, drove Clare on in the second half.
Shanahan had a great game no doubt but itโs easy look good as the spare man. Saw it a lot over the last few years with Waterford sweepers picking up heaps of man of the match awards. Conlon for me for consistency over the game. If Kelly could consistently play for 70 the way he did in the second half heโd never fail to win a MOTM again
@Ciarรกn: Bill cooper all day long. Won the match for Cork nearly on his own.
