Meath go goal crazy as they put four past Westmeath to win Division 2 tie in Navan

Meath had eleven points to spare in Páirc Tailteann.

Meath 4-10
Westmeath 0-11

MEATH’S GOALSCORING POWER proved too much for Westmeath to handle in tonight’s Allianz Division 2 football league clash in Páirc Tailteann in Navan.

The Royals weren’t in action last weekend as their game against Roscommon was postponed due to snow and it was Westmeath, coming off the back of a fine win over Kildare, who started brightest.

Stephen Bray netted in the first-half for Meath but Westmeath responded to go in front 0-8 to 1-3 at the interval.

Then in the second-half Meath took over with Paraic Harnan, Mickey Newman and the influential Graham Reilly all raising green flags as Mick O’Dowd’s side ran out eleven-point winners.
