MEATH ARE ON the lookout for a new manager after it was confirmed today that Mick O’Dowd has stepped down.

This afternoon’s announcement brings to an end the coach’s four-year stint in charge of the county.

The decision comes in the wake of Meath’s championship exit amid a demoralising defeat to Derry, which saw the Royals fail to hold onto a seven-point lead established after the first half of this afternoon’s Round 3 qualifier in Owenbeg.
