CONOR MCGREGOR’S COACH John Kavanagh has urged Irish MMA fans not to rush into planning an early summer trip Las Vegas. Not yet.
‘The Notorious’ will fight UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo in a title fight which had been expected to take place in Nevada on May 23.
However, speaking to Newstalk Breakfast this morning, Kavanagh hinted that the bout is still not locked in anyone’s schedule and could in fact take place a little later.
“It’s not 100% yet. There was talk of a May date but it may actually be later in the year,” said Kavanagh.
I get a lot of tweets and messages from people wanting to book their flights and I would just say hold on. Hold on until the UFC officially announce it, but it does look like it will be later in the year.”

Kavanagh added, ‘mid-summer maybe’ and agreed that the bout may take place as late as July. While the date may change, the host city will not.
