Sexton through comeback without a hitch as McFadden and Nagle resume full training

The utility back picked up a thigh injury before the province’s sole defeat this season.

LEINSTER HOPE TO have Fergus McFadden and second row Ian Nagle back in contention for Saturday’s Pro12 trip to face Cardiff (19.35).

The former Munster lock suffered a shoulder knock in pre-season, but is back in full training this week. Fergus McFadden has also resumed full sessions after a thigh strain kept him out of the loss to Glasgow.

Jonathan Sexton and Rhys Ruddock made their first start of the season in Friday’s win over Ospreys and the province’s medical team report that they came through without any issue.

There was no further update on Robbie Henshaw, Sean O’Brien, Rob Kearney or Jack Conan today.
