RONDA ROUSEY HAS taken another jab at Floyd Mayweather, insisting that she earns more per second than the dominant world boxing champion.
The pair have traded several blows in the media, with the feud originating last year when Mayweather said “I don’t even know who he is” when asked about Rousey, the UFC’s undefeated women’s bantamweight champion.
Rousey used Mayweather’s history of domestic violence to fire back at the boxer in July after beating him to the ‘Best Fighter’ gong at the ESPY awards: “I wonder how Floyd feels being beat by a woman for once. I’d like to see you pretend to not know who I am now.”

Mayweather congratulated Rousey on her award during an interview with ESPN earlier this month, before adding: “I’ll just say that I’ve yet to see any MMA fighter or other boxer make over 300 million [dollars] in 36 minutes. You know, when she can do that then call me.”
Mayweather has certainly earned more than Rousey during his career, but in the MMA star’s estimation, she’s far more profitable in proportion. Mayweather’s last six fights have lasted all 12 rounds, while Rousey is renowned for getting the job done quickly, having been taken out of the first round just once in her professional career.
The 28-year-old Olympic medallist in judo reportedly earned a disclosed $230,000 for her recent win over Bethe Correia, which took just 34 seconds. However, her cut of the pay-per-view buys, added to other bonuses, was likely to have been much greater than that figure.
Rousey was accosted by a reporter from TMZ while out walking her dog near her LA home in Venice Beach yesterday. After discussing her next fight — against Holly Holm on 2 January — the discussion eventually turned to Floyd Mayweather.
“I actually did the math and given the numbers in my last fight, I’m actually the highest paid UFC fighter, and I’m a woman. And I think I actually make two-to-three times more than he does per second.
“So, when he learns to read and write he can text me then,” said Rousey, referring to Mayweather’s reported difficulties when it comes to literacy. “I’m just a little bit more efficient.”
