In the wee hours of Sunday morning, Conor McGregor will attempt to pull off the greatest single-event upset in sporting history, when he finally trades leather with the four-time lineal boxing champion Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena.

Joining Gavan Casey to preview ‘The Money Fight’ on this week’s Close Calls, five-time Irish Senior Elite champion and current 4-0(3KOs) professional boxer Eric ‘Lilywhite Lightning’ Donovan, Donegal’s Stateside sensation Jason ‘El Animal’ Quigley, UFC lightweight and former pro boxer Joe Duffy, as well as McGregor’s coach, John Kavanagh, who addressed rumours that his Notorious charge might leave unarmed combate in his rear-view and ride off into retirement after his Vegas payday.
Old Irish team-mates Donovan and Quigley are completely at odds as to how the fight will transpire, while Duffy sheds some light on the transition from the octagon to the ring, and as to whether McGregor can carry his power from MMA to boxing.
