DR HYDE PARK has been chosen as the venue for next month’s Connacht senior and minor football finals.
The Connacht GAA Council made the announcement in an official statement this evening.
The game will see Mayo bidding to complete five-in-a-row in the province against Sligo at the Roscommon venue on 19 July at 4pm.
The stadium capacity for the game will be 20,000 following an event management plan being put in place by the Connacht Council.
But not everyone seems happy.

Hyde park ...!!!
Just seen the news re Hyde Park as the Connacht final there. Crazy decision, place not fit to hold a club game let alone a provincial final.— Mayo GAA Blog (@MayoGAABlog) June 24, 2015
