Connacht's new Springbok recruit Marnitz Boshoff will arrive in Galway this week

But Pat Lam will be without Tiernan O’Halloran for the trip to Zebre.

CONNACHT’S NEW Springbok out-half, Marnitz Boshoff, will arrive in Galway at the end of the week to begin his two-year stay with the province.

The 27-year-old arrives from the Golden Lions in South Africa following last weekend’s Currie Cup final. He also featured for Super Rugby outfit the Lions in recent years.

Boshoff will complete a routine medical examination upon his arrival at the Sportsground and should then be integrated into full team training.

Pat Lam will hope to have his new recruit available for as soon as possible, but the Connacht coach will have to plan without Tiernan O’Halloran in the immediate future.

The 25-year-old sustained a knee injury during the sensational victory over Toulouse and will definitely miss this weekend’s Champions Cup clash with Zebre.
