Referee Mark Clattenburg shows off his new Euro 2016 and Champions League tattoos

Surely this is a wind-up…?

WITH THE START of the new Premier League season still a week-and-a-half away, referee Mark Clattenburg has been sunning himself in Spain’s Costa Del Sol.

“What’s so interesting about that?”, you might ask.

Well, pictures of the 41-year-old, who officiated in both the Champions League and Euro 2016 finals this season, have just surfaced with him sporting two new (and pretty unusual) tattoos.

It seems Clattenburg has got the European Cup trophy inked on his left wrist and the official logo for this summer’s European championships on his right forearm to remember two career highlights.

Benalmadena-based tattoo artist Mick Mahon posted these photos on Facebook over the weekend with the caption: “It’s not every Sunday you get to tattoo the World’s top football referee… Mark Clattenburg back for more!”
