Joe Schmidt will have been impressed with Kerry and Tyrone's rugby skills today

Marc Ó Sé and Ronan McNamee both picked up black cards

THERE WAS BOUND to be a talking point or two, and while this incident may have a big impact on the result, it looks far from controversial.

Maurice Deegen was called into action during the first half of today’s All-Ireland senior football championship semi-final at Croke Park, producing a black card to Kerry’s influential full-back Marc Ó Sé.

Ó Sé found himself on the wrong side of Connor McAliskey, before catching him around the hips and dragging him to the ground.

Ó Sé ran back to the edge of the square as fast as he could, but after it appeared Deegan had let him away with it, he followed the full-back to the goal to give him his marching orders with a black card.

Can Ó Sé have any real complaints?

Tyrone also found themselves hit with a black card in the second half though, as Ronan McNamee was sent to the line for this tough tackle on Colm Cooper.

And the Kerry players didn’t react well to Justin McMahon hassling the Gooch.
