THE FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION will take no action in response to an incident which took place in the aftermath of the Manchester derby at Old Trafford on 10 December following an internal review.
Pep Guardiola’s side came out on top in a 2-1 win which extended the Blues’ lead at the top of the Premier League to 11 points against their city rivals.

However tensions flared after the final whistle as players and backroom staff from both sets of teams confronted one another, with reports suggesting United boss Jose Mourinho was unimpressed with the level of music coming from the visitor’s dressing room.
An FA statement said: “Following a review of the evidence provided by the clubs and independent eyewitnesses The FA will be taking no formal action.”
Man City coach Mikel Arteta suffered a cut to his head during the altercation, while Mourinho was reportedly hit with a bottle as players and staff clashed, however following Thursday’s decision from the FA neither side will be sanctioned.
