David De Gea named in Man United starting XI for tonight's friendly against Barcelona

DAVID DE GEA will play in his first game of Manchester United’s pre-season tour of America when they face Barcelona in Santa Clara.

The Spanish goalkeeper has missed United’s two previous games but returned to training yesterday and has been named in Louis van Gaal’s starting XI for tonight’s clash at the Levi’s Stadium.

Bastian Schweinsteiger misses out after he picked up a hamstring injury in training but with just two weeks until the Premier League season opener, could this be the side that faces Tottenham on 8 August?

Interestingly, Daley Blind will start at centre back again after playing there in the last outing against San Jose Earthquakes.

Van Gaal will no doubt make wholesale changes at the break but how much can we read into his team selections on this tour?
