The kit, which was designed by United fan Aniello Carotenuto, includes imagery of the statue of Sir Bobby Charlton, George Best and Denis Law outside Old Trafford – also known as the ‘Holy Trinity’.

Carotenuto’s design was chosen as part of the adidas Football Creator Studio platform, which has also helped design third kits for the likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich this summer.

Fans voted for their favourite designs before legends of the club’s past and professional designers decided the eventual winners.

The kit provides an alternative to United’s traditional red kit as well as their new black away strip that was released earlier in pre-season.
