Man City make £40million bid for Raheem Sterling - reports

Sky Sports News say the Eastlands club have made a second approach for the player.

MAN CITY HAVE made a second bid for Liverpool’s Raheem Sterling after their initial one was rejected, according to media reports.

Sky Sports News say the Eastlands club are offering in the region of £40million for the 20-year-old winger.

Sterling’s future has been the subject of much speculation ever since he gave an interview to the BBC back in April expressing reservations about signing a new deal with the club.

The youngster was left out of Liverpool’s final game of the 2014-15 season — the 6-1 hammering by Stoke — and has been linked with a number of clubs of late, including City, Man United and Arsenal.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side previously had a reported offer of £25million for Sterling rejected by the Reds.
