Luke Shaw vows to 'come back stronger' after suspected broken leg

The full-back was caught by Hector Moreno and was replaced by Marco Rojo after suffering what seemed to be a serious injury in the Netherlands

MANCHESTER UNITED HAVE been dealt a blow after Luke Shaw was stretchered off with a suspected broken leg in their Champions League clash against PSV.

The defender was caught by Hector Moreno after breaking into the box, and play was delayed for around 10 minutes before he was eventually helped from the pitch.

Marcos Rojo came off the bench to replace the former Southampton left-back, with Louis van Gaal consoling his player as he left the pitch.

The England international has been a key player for United this season, starting all seven matches to date as well as both of England’s European Championship qualifying clashes.

This is not the first time Shaw has suffered injury problems in his time at Old Trafford after struggling with fitness during his first season with the 20-time Premier League champions.
