The newspaper say one of them is an England international.

Shaw, who is currently recovering from a broken leg, took to Twitter last night to dispel the rumours. The left-back replied to a message posted by Man United fan account @UnitedStandMUFC.

“The idiocy of these Luke Shaw rumours & he’s not even gay! And so what if he is? He’s a United player and we support him #MUFC,” it read

To which Shaw replied: “it’s not me so everyone can shut up now.”

The players would be the first to publicly announce they are gay while playing in the Premier League.
