TOTTENHAM HAVE ANNOUNCED the signing of Fernando Llorente from Swansea City for a fee reported to be £15 million.
The 32-year-old rejected the chance to join Chelsea, who also made a late bid of £15m for the Spanish striker. He becomes Tottenham’s second deadline-day signing, after Serge Aurier signed earlier in the day from PSG.
Llorente joined Swansea last summer and scored 15 goals for the club, helping the Swans to avoid Premier League relegation

Meanwhile, Swansea moved quickly to replace him with the capture of Ivorian striker Wilfried Bony from Manchester City.
Bony, 28, has signed a two-year contract with an option for a third year and is reported to have cost Swansea £12 million.
He previously spent a year and a half at the Liberty, scoring 34 goals in 70 games, before joining Manchester City in a £28 million move in January 2015.
Swansea are currently 13th in the 20-team Premier League after a win, a draw and a loss in their opening three games of the season.
