Liverpool throw it away at the death as Mane inspires remarkable Southampton comeback

Jurgen Klopp was left infuriated as his side conceded twice late on.

SOUTHAMPTON PULLED OFF a second-half comeback against Liverpool on Sunday, coming from two goals down to claim a remarkable win.

Philippe Coutinho and Daniel Sturridge scored, with Joe Allen having an effort ruled out for offside, in a first half dominated by Liverpool as Southampton looked all at sea.

Victor Wanyama and Sadio Mane were introduced at half-time and the latter quickly had the chance to halve the deficit from the penalty spot, only for Simon Mignlet to make a fine save.

The Senegal international soon made amends, though, standing up a poor Mamadou Sakho to race through and fire past Mignolet before Graziano Pelle equalised six minutes from time.

Mane, who has struggled for form this season, was instrumental in the comeback, along with Wanyama who dominated the midfield battle, and netted the winner just two minutes later.
