Liverpool changed the title of their matchday programme for Stevie G's big farewell party

He’s also been given a fairly ugly pair of boots to mark the occasion.

NOBODY’S BIGGER THAN the club, as we’re sure Steven Gerrard has said a lot down the years, but one Premier League club is making it a close run thing.

For the occasion of Gerrard’s final game at Anfield (for now anyway), Liverpool have changed the name of their official matchday progamme, This Is Anfield.

Instead, fans can pick up the Steven Gerrard special edition to accompany the final home fixture of the season.

On the field, Gerrard’s other paymasters, Adidas, have furnished him with some boots to mark the occasion.

They’ve got YNWA emblazoned on the heel, but apart from that, they’re a bit too much of a scribble-fest for our taste.
