Good afternoon and welcome along to our live coverage of Liverpool’s Premier League with Burnley.
Jurgen Klopp’s men have an opportunity to move within a point of Manchester City in third but these are the type of games which have proven to be their undoing this year.
Kick off at Anfield is at 4pm and we’ll have all the build up between now and then.
Just 10 minutes until we get underway at Anfield. Which way do you see this one going?

With five defeats to side’s in the bottom half already this season, Liverpool can ill afford anymore slip-ups as the race for the Champions League berths intensifies down the home straight.
The teams have emerged from the tunnel to a warm Anfield reception. The lights are on but the rain is still falling hard on Merseyside.

4:03PM
Really bright start from Liverpool as they look for an early breakthrough.
12 Mar 2017
4:06PM
Time for Burnley to ask a few early questions as they win a corner in front of the Kop. The initial danger is cleared but it only falls to George Boyd, who tries his luck with a rasping drive which rises up and over the bar.
Moments later, Andre Gray shows his pace to get down the right. He’s on the edge of being offside but times his run well and fires a low cross across the Liverpool box but Barnes can’t make up the ground.
12 Mar 2017
4:07PM
Again, Gray gets in behind the red shirts. He holds it up well and chips it in towards Barnes, but Liverpool have enough cover.
What a start from the Clarets! Barnes slides in at the back post to fire the visitors into a deserved early lead. Anfield is stunned.
12 Mar 2017
4:12PM
You could see Burnley growing in confidence before that goal as Gray and Barnes found acres of space time and time again between the lines.
Liverpool have yet to solve the problem and on this occasion Boyd wins the free after being clattered by Emre Can. This is prime Robbie Brady territory but he’s sitting on the bench.
Instead, it’s the left foot of Boyd but his effort sails well wide.
12 Mar 2017
4:14PM
Liverpool go in search of an instant response. Mane powers down the right past Ben Mee and he delivers an inviting ball in towards Origi but he just can’t make up the ground to get on the end of it. Better from the hosts though.
Chance! Ward curls a ball in behind the Liverpool defence for Barnes to strike first time and it goes agonisingly wide from Burnley’s point of view. The linesman’s flag was up but another warning for the hosts, who have yet to get going.
12 Mar 2017
4:29PM
We’re nearly half an hour into this game and Burnley are looking very comfortable. They continue to pose a considerable threat going forward and have been able to contain Liverpool at the other end.

4:38PM
Just about sums up the half for Liverpool. The ball is shifted to Wijnaldum but his effort is woeful as it sails high and wide. Seven minutes until the break.
12 Mar 2017
4:41PM
Liverpool asking a few more questions now but still not really testing Tom Heaton in the Burnley goal. Frustration growing inside Anfield.
As we enter added time, Liverpool strike to go in at the break on level terms. A ball into the box falls at the feet of Wijnaldum and he gets a bit of luck before thrashing it home from close range,

Half time! Liverpool 1-1 Burnley
And that’s half time. What a killer blow for the visitors, who were seconds away from taking a deserved lead into the break.
Players back out for the second half and Liverpool get us back underway.
12 Mar 2017
5:09PM
Still quite scrappy out there and there’s plenty of uncertainty in the Liverpool defence as the likes of Barnes and Gray continue to stretch the home rearguard and cause them trouble.
12 Mar 2017
5:12PM
Good spell for Burnley as Klavan is forced to cut out a dangerous cross with Gray waiting to pounce before Barnes volleys over from the left hand side of the box.
What a strike! The ball is rolled across to Can, 30 yards out. He tees it up for himself and curls it along the turf and into the corner via the inside of the post.
12 Mar 2017
5:20PM
Moments later, Can goes into the book for a late challenge on Barnes; but Anfield has suddenly come alive. That goal came out of absolutely nowhere and is harsh on Burnley.
12 Mar 2017
5:21PM
What a chance! Oh, Ashley Barnes you have to score there! The ball is floated into the Liverpool box and Mee gets up and heads it back across goal for Barnes to strike from close range. But his effort is tame and Lallana and a host of other red shirts throw themselves at it to block.

Close! Woodburn comes in off the left wing and tries his luck with an audacious effort, attempting to curl it into the far corner and he very nearly does it. 19 minutes left at Anfield.

5:30PM
Robbie Brady is on in place of George Boyd for the final quarter as Burnley go in search of an equaliser. He’s involved straight away but his cross from the right is cleared.
12 Mar 2017
5:36PM
Another change for Liverpool as Lucas comes on for Origi. There’s a nervous tension inside the ground now as we enter the final 10 minutes. Sam Vokes is on for Burnley, meanwhile.
12 Mar 2017
5:40PM
Burnley are finishing strongly and starting to put Liverpool under considerable pressure now. Eight minutes plus injury time remaining. Can the visitors find an equaliser?
12 Mar 2017
5:43PM
The home crowd try and get behind their team as they look to hold onto their lead at the death. Ben Mee relieves some of the pressure with an overhit pass which sails into touch.
12 Mar 2017
5:44PM
Liverpool look to break and seal the win. Mane plays young Woodburn in down the let but Ward gets back to slide in and block the cross with three red shirts waiting in the middle.
12 Mar 2017
5:46PM
Save! Heaton keeps it at 2-1 and Burnley are still alive in the contest. Mane’s touch isn’t great but he still gets his shot away and the England international is forced to tip it over.
12 Mar 2017
5:47PM
Four minutes of added time.
12 Mar 2017
5:50PM
Chance! That was Burnley’s chance. Liverpool fail to clear their lines and Keane gets the flick on for Lowton to swivel and shoot but he can’t get over it from close range and the ball sails over the bar. That was the moment.
