LIVERPOOL AND BORUSSIA Dortmund served up an absolute classic at Anfield.
With the tie balanced at 1-1 from last week’s first-leg, the Germans came out of the blocks quickly to stun Anfield and leave Liverpool needing three goals without reply to advance.
Firstly, Henrikh Mkhitaryan put Dortmund ahead on aggregate after Liverpool had coughed up possession down the left hand side.
The visitors broke quickly and the ball eventually found its way through to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the box. His effort was parried by Simon Mignolet but Mkhitaryan was quickest to react to fire home the rebound.
