As the games get under-way, there’s news that Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli needs eye surgery and could be missing for a month. With Sergio Aguero also out, that leaves just Carlos Tevez and Edin Dzeko to lead the line.

Still more strikers than Liverpool.

In the earlier game, West Ham beat Fulham 3-0, with all the goals scored in the first half. A tremendous performance from the Hammers and a brilliant debut performance by Andy Carroll.

Kevin Nolan, Winston Reid and Matt Taylor were the scorers for Sam Allardyce’s side.

Carroll, unfortunately, was forced off injured in the second half.

Russell Martin’s header crashes off the Tottenham crossbar. Close for Norwich, but the game remains scoreless.

An injury worry for Everton, as Steven Pienaar goes down in a lot of pain. It looks like the South African should be able to shake it off though.

It looks like a very bad knee injury for Swansea full-back Neil Taylor after a clash with Sunderland’s Craig Gardner – oxygen on the pitch, stretcher, not looking good.

Darron Gibson is down for Everton and a doubt to carry on. If he’d only waited a couple of hours he may have had a better excuse not to play for Ireland.

Gibson has been taken off, replaced by Tony Hibbert.

Paul Merson says that Hibbert has gone to right-back and Gary Neville has gone into midfield. Somebody call Jim White – he missed one.

Shane Long misses an absolute sitter, heading against Tim Howard’s crossbar when it looked so much easier to score.

Meanwhile, an unbelievable header from Fellaini, according to Merse, but it lands on the roof of the net.

Charlie Adam, named as a substitute, has made an earlier than expected debut for Stoke City. The former Liverpool midfielder is on for the injured Andy Wilkinson.

Steven Fletcher scores his first goal for Sunderland as he curls a left-footed effort past Michel Vorm. Meanwhile, another penalty at the DW Stadium but this one goes to Stoke City, and Jon Walters steps up to level the match at 1-1.

It was a shocker from Swansea defender Ashley Williams to let Fletcher in – similar to Martin Skrtel against Manchester City.

Meanwhile, the 41-year-old Brad Friedel produces a brilliant save to deny Robert Snodgrass of Norwich. He won’t give up that jersey lightly.

Wayne Routledge has equalised for Swansea after linking up brilliantly with Nathan Dyer. A rocket, by all accounts.

Half-time at Spurs and the home side are lucky to be scoreless… However…

Sunderland lead Swansea once again – and Fletcher has two for the game as he just about gets a touch to direct the ball past Vorm.

As Moussa Dembele makes his debut for Tottenham, there’s a third goal at the DW Stadium.

Franco Di Santo has sidefooted Wigan ahead against Stoke City, 2-1 to the Latics.

On the subject of Carroll, he’s going to miss the England match in midweek…

The news on Swansea’s Neil Taylor is that he has suffered a fracture to his ankle.

Emmanuel Adebayor has come on for Gylfi Sigurdsson, and Spurs get a free-kick on the edge of the Norwich box. Almost a penalty. Defoe smashes the ball into the Norwich wall and they hadn’t retreated far enough. Spurs should have been allowed to re-take that.

A goal at the Hawthorns and it’s Shane Long – Peter Odemwingie with a great ball across and Long applies an expert finish. Marouane Fellaini had missed a great chance to give Everton the lead.

He had only score once in his last 31 games, now he’s scored on his debut for Tottenham – Moussa Dembele with a beautiful Cruyff turn before shooting past John Ruddy in the Norwich goal. What a start for the Belgian.

A stunning header from Michu who gets his fourth goal of the season, after good work from fellow new boy Jonathan de Guzman. The Swans equalise, great game at the Liberty Stadium.

Swansea’s Chico is sent off for a challenge on Sunderland sub Louis Saha – referee Roger East, in his first Premier League game, is taking no guff.

Stoke have equalised against Wigan, and it’s Peter Crouch with the goal for the Potters.

Tom Huddlestone is sent off for Tottenham after a sliding tackle on Jon Howson – he was only on the pitch seven minutes. That seemed ridiculously harsh as he got the ball.

Jeff Stelling has Ali Al-Habsi as his Fantasy Football League goalkeeper.

Bradley Johnson is freed by Steve Morison and blasts the ball at Friedel, but the American saves, then saves again. Almost full-time.
