Manziel trudges off. Tony Dejak

As it happened: NFL Hangout, week 15

It’s gameday and we brought you all the action worth seeing.

JOHNNY MANZIEL MADE all the headlines on his first NFL start but it was an evening for him and the Browns to forget.

As always, we’d love to hear your thoughts on the action. Email ryan@thescore.ie, tweet @TheScore_ie, post a message to our Facebook wall, or leave a comment below.

Hello and welcome to TheScore.ie’s NFL hangout. Here are tonight’s fixtures.

All eyes will be on Johnny Manziel this evening as he makes his first career NFL start when the Cleveland Browns face the Cincinnati Bengals. Cleveland fans will be hoping Manziel can do the business on debut as he becomes the latest quarter-back to start for the Browns.

The San Francisco 49ers are at Seattle. The calm before the storm…

There are of course plenty of other sub-plots to tonight’s action. There’s an AFC East clash between the Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots while the Denver Broncos and San Diego Chargers do battle in San Diego. Not forgetting that do-or-die showdown in Seattle.

As always, we love to hear from you with your predictions and thoughts. What are you looking out for this week?

The Patriots host the Miami Dolphins in that AFC East clash and here’s a stat to set the fixture up nicely…

We have our first touchdown of the night and it’s gone to the Patriots. Elsewhere, Kelvin Benjamin has just been upended. Ouch!

Here’s Johnny! The Browns offence is on the field but the Bengals have taken an early lead. Manziel’s first drive three and out is covered.

That Patriots TD was something else. Miami kicker Caleb Sturgis’ field goal is blocked and recovered by the Patriots’ cornerback Kyle Arrington for a touchdown. It’s been a pretty lively start to Week 15.

William Gay has just intercepted Matt Ryan to weave through the Falcons defence and scored a 50-yard TD. The Steelers are now leading 13-0 in Atlanta

However, when he went to celebrate, this is what happened…

Nothing has gone right for the Browns so far…

There have been four special-teams TDs already today, the most in a week this season. Meanwhile, there’s been a blow for the Texans with Ryan Fitzpatrick carted off with a leg injury. Tom Savage is in.

What do you think of this decision? The officials deemed the Steelers to be roughing the passer…

Naturally, all the attention is on Manziel but the Browns are making it difficult not to keep an eye on proceedings at the FirstEnergy Stadium.

Right, here’s a quick score update for you. Remember there are four games to come later but this is how things stand in the 6pm kick-offs.

  • Steelers 20-7 Falcons
  • Jaguars 9-10 Ravens
  • Packers 10-10 Bills
  • Buccaneers 7-9 Panthers
  • Bengals 20-0 Browns
  • Texans 7-7 Colts
  • Raiders 0-10 Chiefs
  • Dolphins 6-14 Patriots
  • Washington 10-7 Giants

We love a bit of controversy! Robert Griffin III – who replaced the injured Colt McCoy – thought he had scored a TD with this diving finish.

Put the celebrations on ice, though. The officials adjudged that the flying Griffin had lost control of the ball before crossing the line. That was the end of it, however, as Pierre Garcon and Santana Moss got ejected for taking their protests too far.

Jeez, it’s all happening tonight!

This is a great shot of Miami Dolphins wide receiver Mike Wallace nipping in for a TD against the Patriots.

The Chiefs are just pulling away with Alex Smith picking out Travis Kelce with a 20-yard touchdown. Elsewhere, the Giants are back in front at Washington thanks to touchdowns from Eli Manning and Odell Beckham Jr.

This kid’s day has just been made…

It’s been a pretty forgettable day for Johnny and the Browns. The clock is ticking down and they remain 23 points in arrears.

Three touchdowns for Odell Beckham Jr as the Giants move closer to victory. Elsewhere, it’s full-time in Cleveland where the Bengals have beaten the Browns 30-0.
