As it happened: Man United v Sevilla, Champions League

Man United took on Sevilla at Old Trafford with the tie finely balanced following 0-0 first-leg result.

Kick off for the game is at 7.45pm.

We’re under way…

Decent start from United.

Lukaku has just fired a shot wide from the edge of the area after good build-up play.

United look like they are going to approach this game in a more positive fashion than the first leg.

They have been really taking the game to Sevilla in the opening minutes.

Banega has already been booked for a late challenge on Sanchez. He will miss the next match if Sevilla progress.

As I type, Rico has to parry away a deflected Rashford free-kick.

Sevilla look under the cosh at the moment.

Correa heads just over from Banega’s corner.

Remember that if Sevilla score, then United will have to get at least two goals to advance.

It’s been a slightly better spell for Sevilla in the last few minutes.

They’ve had the better possession and territory of late.

Bailly gives the ball away sloppily.

Muriel, however, can’t show the necessary composure, and fires well over from the edge of the box.

Vázquez fires over from the edge of the box.

This game is starting to resemble the first leg more now and there is a palpable nervousness around Old Trafford.

Mercado crosses straight into De Gea’s hands.

For all their increasing dominance, the visitors have been pretty lacklustre in the final third so far.

After a promising opening, United have been really subdued in recent minutes.

Sevilla are controlling the play, with United struggling to get any momentum going forward.

Muriel gets a sight at goal on the counter-attack after Rashford gives it away.

Again the finish is disappointing, however, as he drags his shot wide.

A ball through almost finds Lukaku, but Lenglet appears to get the deftest of touches to guide the ball to safety.

United have been better of late, and for all the visitors’ possession, it is the home side who look more threatening going forward.

Muriel finds space but his shot is straight at De Gea.

Shortly thereafter, Banega shoots well off target from distance.

Sevilla just don’t seem to have any conviction when they attack at the moment.

That’s probably the best chance of the game so far.

Fellaini plays a one-two with Sanchez, before forcing a decent save by Rico from a tight angle.

Lingard breaks down the right, but his cross is intercepted.

United have looked better in the last few minutes.

N’Zonzi skies a short miles over.

That sums up how toothless Sevilla have been going forward in this first half.

HALF-TIME: MAN UNITED 0-0 SEVILLA

The second half has begun…

Lingard bursts forward on the counter-attack, but Kjær gets a good challenge in to stop him.

Down the other end, Bailly makes a superb challenge to stop Correa from shooting on goal.

Big chance!

Rico tips the ball away from goal after a Lingard shot from a tight angle.

Correa shows good feet to evade the challenge of Bailly, before shooting wide.

He’s probably been Sevilla’s biggest threat in attack.

Sanchez gets the ball on the edge of the box but his shot is blocked down.

Sevilla then counter, but Muriel can’t direct Sarabia’s cross on target.

United make their first change and it’s an interesting one.

Pogba has replaced Fellaini.

Lenglet does well to block down a shot by Lukaku.

The Belgian striker hasn’t seen too much of the ball, but he has looked threatening on the rare occasions he’s been involved in the play.

Bailly is well positioned to clear Escudero’s cross.

The United centre-back has been excellent tonight — he reads the game so well.

Sarabia overhits a free kick as the visitors continue to struggle to create a clear-cut chance.

It’s getting to the stage where one goal is likely to be decisive.

Vázquez’s cross is collected by De Gea.

There is a real tension around the game now, with both sides keenly aware that they can’t afford to make a mistake.

Decent attempt, as Pogba fires just wide from distance.

Meanwhile, Sevilla have made a change — Ben Yedder, their top scorer in this year’s competition, replaces Muriel.

MAN UNITED 0-1 SEVILLA (BEN YEDDER 74)

Ben Yedder makes an immediate impact.

He receives the ball on the edge of the box, takes a touch to create space with Bailly in close attention, and fires home to give United a mountain to climb.

United make a double change.

Mata and Martial replace Valencia and Lingard.

MAN UNITED 0-2 SEVILLA (BEN YEDDER 78)

A corner falls to Ben Yedder, and his header from close range creeps over the line despite De Gea doing his best to keep it out.

That should put the victory beyond all doubt.

Ben Yedder almost gets a third, but Smalling gets a good block in.

De Gea had initially parried away Correa’s shot.

Down the other end, Lukaku sliding shot goes over the bar.

MAN UNITED 1-2 SEVILLA (LUKAKU 84)

Lukaku gets on the end of the corner and blasts it home from close range.

They couldn’t, could they?

Rashford heads just wide.

United are rallying now, but it’s too little too late surely.

Correa is replaced by Geis.

Sevilla look set to see the tie out with a minute of normal time remaining.

There will be four minutes of stoppage time…

Ben Yedder misses a golden opportunity for the hat-trick.

He’s one on one with De Gea, who makes the save.

Right, that’s all from me for now.
