Kick of is at 12.30pm.

Both Jurgen Klopp and Jordan Henderson have paid tribute to Seamus Coleman in the match programme ahead of today’s game, after the Ireland and Everton defender suffered a horrific leg break against Wales recently.

We’re underway…

It’s been predictably scrappy and frantic in the opening stages.

No real chances for either side yet.

LIVERPOOL 1-0 EVERTON (MANE 8)

Mane bursts forward, finds space on the edge of the area and shoots into the bottom corner of the net.

It’s a super individual goal from the Senegal international.

Everton look on the ropes now.

Coutinho threatens to weave his way through the defence and the ball is eventually cleared nervously.

Liverpool look on top in midfield in particular.

They’re outnumbering their opponents in the middle of the park time and again.

A deep cross finds Calvert-Lewin, but the youngster mis-controls the ball as he finds himself in an excellent position.

Everton need to be more clinical in those situations.

Coutinho beats Pennington and tests Robles with a powerful shot.

Everton are allowing Liverpool far too much space and are being exposed on the counter time and again.

Barkley dribbles towards the area and is taken down by Can.

Baines’ free kick is straight at the wall, however.

Tom Davies gets the first booking of the game for taking down Mane.

It’s been a frustrating day so far for the 18-year-old, who hasn’t really imposed himself on the game.

LIVERPOOL 1-1 EVERTON (PENNINGTON 28)

Everton equalise and it’s Matthew Pennington who scores after his surprise start today.

It’s poor from a Liverpool perspective, as a corner breaks to the youngster, as he’s given far too much time and space to slot the ball home.

LIVERPOOL 2-1 EVERTON (COUTINHO 31)

Liverpool re-take the lead just moments after the equaliser.

Pennington, who has just scored, should have done better. He allows Coutinho to cut back in on his right foot after the Liverpool star beats Gueye initially.

The finish, however, is brilliant, as the Brazilian curls the ball home from the edge of the area.

Williams appears to stamp on Can as the Liverpool player goes to ground.

The referee doesn’t see it but it’ll be interesting to see if retrospective action is taken.

Meanwhile, Ross Barkley has been booked for a poor challenge on Lovren.

“I actually think that’s a red card,” says Gary Neville, and it’s hard to disagree looking at replays.

Lucas flies into Holgate, although there’s not much contact ultimately.

This game has acquired a really aggressive edge in recent minutes.

Coutinho dribbles into the area, but Gueye makes a good tackle to stop him in his tracks.

The Brazilian has looked really sharp today.

HALF-TIME: LIVERPOOL 2-1 EVERTON

So half-time and it’s been a typically aggressive Merseyside Derby, with at least one player (Barkley) lucky to be still on the pitch.

Liverpool deserve their lead. Everton have been continually exposed on the counter-attack, with the Toffees affording far too much space to the likes of Coutinho and Mane.

Nevertheless, you get the sense that the hosts will probably need at least one more goal. Their defence has looked nervy at times, and they were particularly statue-esque for Pennington’s goal.

The second half has begun…

The second half has started off similarly to the pattern of the first.

Can gets plenty of space on the edge of the box and his shot is saved by the feet of Robles.

Mane is down after a challenge from Baines.

To be fair to the Everton defender, that is one of the few challenges in this game that does seem genuinely innocuous.

Mane limps off and he’s replaced by Origi.

That’s a concern for Liverpool — they’ll hope the Senegal international won’t be out for too long.

Barkley’s been better in recent minutes.

He dribbles towards the box and lays it off for Holgate, before the youngster’s cross is cut out by a Liverpool defender.

LIVERPOOL 3-1 EVERTON (ORIGI 60)

Coutinho plays a brilliant ball through to Origi and the striker makes no mistake with the finish.

Robles was at fault there, as he was way off his line and could have made a better attempt at making the save if he was appropriately positioned.

Ashley Williams is penalised for a poor challenge on Emre Can. The German looks in a bad way and the Welsh defender is arguably lucky to avoid a red there.

The referee has been very lenient today.

Valencia and Barry replace Pennington and Davies for Everton.

The Toffees are in desperate need of inspiration and could do with a goal fast to stay in this game.

Everton are coming more into this game now.

A powerful shot from Holgate tests Mignolet, before the defender heads wide moments later.

Youngster Trent Alexander-Arnold replaces Coutinho.

The Brazilian has been superb today and along with Mane, the best player on the pitch.

Jamie Redknapp is not impressed by Romelu Lukaku.

The ex-Liverpool player calls him “really half-hearted” and a “major disappointment” today.

Gary Neville agrees.

Liverpool have been pretty comfortable in recent minutes and actually look the more dangerous side.

Origi has been very influential since coming on, causing the Everton defence plenty of problems.

Trent Alexander Arnold’s shot is comfortably saved by Robles.

It’s been a disappointingly tame performance by Everton, who have looked a level below Liverpool today.

Mirallas dribbles through on goal past Matip, but his subsequent shot is well off target.

The contrast between Liverpool and the Toffees in the final third today has been stark.

Looks like 1999 will remain the last time Everton beat Liverpool at Anfield in the league.

Klavan has replaced Firmino late on.

Meanwhile, Coutinho has been named man of the match.

Right, that’s all from me.
