Good afternoon, GAA fans. We hope the winter sun is shining as brightly on you as it is with us.

We’ll need all the golden rays it can give us if we’re to get through a jam-packed day of GAA club action in hurling and football.

2pm will bring the commencement of the real hostilities, so buckle up we’re nearly there.

As you can see in the above scores, we had one early throw in in the Clare SHC semi-final:

After a half time deadlock,  the latest score there is Newmarket on Fergus 0-10 Ballyea 1-4.

Still 15 minutes for Ballyea to come back in that one.

We’re told Dr Crokes v Castlehaven will be a 2.15 start, but the other Munster SFC 1/4 is off and running with a score.

Munster SFC club quarter-finals: Dromcollogher-Broadford 0-1 Ballinacourty 0-1.

Five minutes left in Ennis and it’s going down to the wire with just a goal between the sides.

Clare SHC semi-final: Newmarket-on-Fergus 0-12 Ballyea 1-6.

Amhrán na bhFiann is playing in Killarney, so Dr Crokes and Castlehaven will be under way very shortly, we’ll be focusing on this game for the time being, but will be sure to keep you abreast of the big scores elsewhere.

It’s injury time in Ennis and Newarket on Fergus are heading for the Clare SHC final.

It’s Newmarket 0-15, Ballyea 1-07.

FULL TIME: Clare SHC semi-final: Newmarket-on-Fergus 0-15   Ballyea 1-07.

Munster SFC club quarter-final: Dr Crokes (Kerry) 0-02 Castlehaven (Cork) 0-02

No problem for Brian Hurley, he fires over another wonderful score from out wide to bring the Cork men level in Killarney.

The news is all good for Ballinacourty in the other 1/4 final. Approaching HT it’s:

There are four  Ulster SFC quarter-finals now in full swing. No separating the champions from Donegal and Antrim just yet.  Glenswilly 0-2 St Gall’s 0-2.

Extra time coming up…

Speaking of extra time, Kilcoo have really put it up to Crossmaglen in Newry, but it looks as thought the perennial All-Ireland challengers will advance to the Ulster semis. 15 minutes deep into Extra time it’s

Speaking of which, Crossmaglen have had their own lead blown away by Kilcoo and it’s ended all square after extra time in Newry. The replay will be in Armagh’s Athletic Grounds next Saturday.

Ulster SFC quarter-final: Kilcoo 2-09 Crossmaglen 1-12. AET

Heavy conditions appear to have slowed the scoring rate in Parnell Park. It’s half time in extra time and it’s Dublin SFC final: St Vincent’s 1-16, Ballymun 0-17.

Here it comes, the second half of extra time in what has been a thrilling Dublin football final.

Rock takes aim with a free and the gap is back to the minimum. St Vincent’s 1-16 Ballymun 0-18.

RED CARD: Shane Carthy walks and Vincent’s are down to 14, just moments after Rock had levelled the scores. Advantage Ballymun.

St Vincent’s 1-16, Ballymun 0-19.

The advantage is made to count, Furman fires Kickhams into the lead with three minutes remaining of extra time.

St Vincent’s 1-16, Ballymun 0-20.

Drama in Parnell Park. Vincent’s go up the other end and win a free and Connolly keeps his head to level the scors with the last kick of the game.

Dublin SFC final: St Vincent’s 1-17, Ballymun 0-20. AET

Phew, it’s all over bar the replays.

St Vincent’s and Ballymun will do it all over again from 19.45 this Wednesday night (November 6) in Parnell Park.

The Ulster SFC 1/4 final between Kilcoo and Crossmaglen will head for the Gaelic Grounds in Armagh next Sunday.

I’m off to lie down in a warm dark room.

Safe home.
