TRAILING 2-1 FROM the first leg, Leicester City’s involvement in Europe’s elite club competition hangs in the balance.

The Premier League champions were completely outplayed by Seville in Spain but scored a vital away goal to take back to the King Power Stadium.

Since then, manager Claudio Ranieri has been sacked and the Foxes have showed significant improvements under caretaker boss Craig Shakespeare.

But Jorge Sampaoli’s side are formidable opponents and they will be strong favourites to progress to the quarter-finals.

Kick-off is 7.45pm.

We’ve got team news. Leicester remain unchanged for the third consecutive game, while the visitors make eight changes from the side that drew with Leganes at the week.

Former Premier League midfielder Samir Nasri and Steven N’Zonzi come in along with top scorer Wissam Ben Yedder.

Legendary England goalkeeper Peter Shilton, who began his career at Leicester in the ’60s, has just called this “the biggest game in the club’s history” before predicting a 1-0 home win.

He has also been praising the influence of current number one Kasper Schmeichel.

Back-to-back Europa League winners Sevilla, currently third in the La Liga behind Spain’s big two, have drawn their last two league matches but had five victories in all competitions prior to that.

KICK-OFF – They’ve begun, with Leicester taking tip. Sounds like a great atmosphere.

STRONG HAND – Schmeichel called into action early on — saving a drilled shot from Nasri after the Frenchman had gone past Morgan.

Rami lets the ball bounce and Vardy is quick to nip in and take possesion. The Frenchman recovers, however, with a timely challenge. That promises to be an interesting dual.

It’s been a promising first 10 minutes from Leicester, who have been really positive so far. Albrighton’s corner is headed out to the edge of the box and a volley from Drinkwater hits a Sevilla player before going out for a throw.

The ball is launched back into the box, but the away side eventually clear the danger.

It’s the Champions League as opposed to European Cup meaning 1992 to present day, but that’s still a crazy stat:

YELLOW CARD – Stupid booking. Nasri kicks out at Ndidi and picks up the first caution of the night.

They’re in front! Mahrez’s free-kick from wide on the left makes its way to the back post and comes off the Leicester skipper’s knee. He didn’t know a whole lot about it but that makes no odds.

As it stands, the Foxes are going through on away goals.

Decent response to the goal from Sevilla. The Leicester defence don’t deal with a bouncing ball and Ben Yedder nips in to shoot five yards wide.

More good play from Leicester, who really do look up for this tonight. Fuchs begins an attack and loses possession but continues to battle for the ball and gets a shot off. The sting is taken out of the effort and it easy for Sevilla goalkeeper Sergio Rico.

Schmeichel pings a ball out to Vardy and he capitalises on a mistake by Pareja. The striker’s attempted cross comes back to him and he volleys wide.

SECOND HALF – Here we go. Sevilla have made two changes at the break — Mercado and Sarabia off for Mariano and former Manchester City man Jovetic.

Vardy is down after a collision with sub Mariano, but he looks okay to continue.

OFF THE BAR! Sevilla full-back Escudero crashes a strike off the woodwork. That’s a terrific hit.

GOAL! Leicester City 2-0 Sevilla (Marc Albrighton) (Leicester lead 3-2 on aggregate) 

Incredible! A Leicester cross is headed as far as Albrighton, who takes the ball down on his chest and finishes superbly. They’re in the driving seat now.

SUBSTITUTION – Okazaki is off with Slimani coming on in his place.

Leicester have the chance to kill off the tie with a third, but the pass to Slimani is cut out before Vardy scuffs his lines and shoots wide.

RED CARD! Nasri is off after a second booking and Sevilla are down to 10 men. The Frenchman squares up to Vardy and pushes his head towards his opponent’s.

Both players are shown yellow, meaning it’s an early bath for the ex-Arsenal and Man City man.

PENALTY TO SEVILLA… Schmeichel catches Vitolo after the ball has been played and Italian referee Daniele Orsato points to the spot.

AND IT’S SAVED! Schmeichel guesses right to get down keep out N’Zonzi. Poor attempt.

The old man would be proud of that type of form…

It gets worse for Sevilla, Sampaoli has been sent to the stands.

Rico saves Vardy’s header but it looked less than convincing. The Sevilla keeper than gets a strong punch to the resulting corner.

Slimani is through but Rico gets down swiftly to smother the ball. Well played.

TERRIBLE MISS! The striker has the goal at his mercy but blasts the ball high and wide.

And Mahrez is being withdrawn for Amartey.
