Cian Lynch and Steven O’Brien have been honoured for their exploits.

RISING LIMERICK HURLING and Tipperary football stars have been honoured with the Opel GAA-GPA Player of the Month awards.

Limerick’s Cian Lynch from the Patrickswell club won the hurling award while Tipperary’s Steven O’Brien from the Ballina club has claimed the football award.

It was announced this morning that the pair were honoured for their exploits in the month of May.

Lynch was man-of-the-match on his championship debut when he fired 0-3 in Limerick’s Munster quarter-final success over Clare.
