LIAM O’BRIEN HAS joined the Bray Wanderers coaching staff as assistant to manager Harry Kenny.
The former Ireland international, who worked alongside Owen Heary at Sligo Rovers last season, starts work at the Carlisle Grounds immediately.
“He is a welcome addition to our backroom and we look forward to his involvement with our club,” Bray said in a statement.
O’Brien had spells with Bohemians, Shamrock Rovers and Cork City during his playing days, winning four League of Ireland titles and three FAI Cups.
But he is perhaps best known for his spells in England with Manchester United, Newcastle United and Tranmere Rovers as well as his 16 Irish caps.
Bray travel to face Shamrock Rovers at Tallaght Stadium on Friday evening.
