It's Miller time! Cork club appoint former Ireland international as head coach

Liam Miller is going back to his roots in the Munster Senior League.

FORMER IRELAND INTERNATIONAL Liam Miller is the new head coach of Ballincollig AFC.

The Munster Senior League club confirmed the coup yesterday and announced the return of one of their most famous players.

Miller, 34, started his career with the Cork side before landing a dream move to Celtic as a teenager in 1997.

He went on to have a successful career including spells at Manchester United, Leeds United and Sunderland, and won 21 Irish caps.

He returned home to join Cork City earlier this year, and helped John Caulfield’s side to finish as Premier Division runners-up for a second successive season.

Miller will be assisted with Ballincollig’s senior team by Anthony Hogan and Adrian Brady.
