Tippearay had stayed in touch with the Ulster side right up until half time, but with Tyrone starting to pull away in the third quarter, Tipp’s challenge looked to be over, when Liam Casey was shown the line.
Casey tangled with Tyrone’s Colm Cavanagh just two minutes after coming off the bench, before appearing to stamp on Cavanagh as he stepped over him.
The red card that followed ended the game as a contest, with Tyrone eventually running out 0-19 to 0-7 winners in Thurles.
Was this stamp by Tipperary's Liam Casey an accident or deliberate?
