TEDDY SHERINGHAM’S TOUGH start to life as Stevenage manager continued this week.
His League Two side, who have taken just one point from their opening three games, were beaten 3-0 away to table-toppers Leyton Orient. It was another frustrating result for Sheringham, but even the former Manchester United striker was able to appreciate Orient’s second goal: “Fantastic. Fantastic goal.”
Sammy Moore’s crossfield ball found Sean Clohessy, who teed up substitute Blair Turgott with a sublime pass on the volley. Turgott probably had time to steady himself, but what’s the point in doing that when you can just send it home first time instead?
Delicious.
Feel sorry for george ford he will be blaming himself he should have had the game closed out in second half . Have to give him credit for his first half display though.
Fair play to saints. Reacted really well following their thrashing at the hands of Leinster.
