Leinster women deliver resounding bonus point win over Ulster to set up Donnybrook showdown

They hosts held their Northern guests scoreless to tee up a clash with Munster next weekend.

Leinster 46

Ulster 0

IT WAS ONE-WAY traffic from the off as Leinster delivered a firm statement of intent in their inter-provincial clash with Ulster.

They claimed a bonus-point win after a relentless performance at home.

The side from the east led 17-0 at the break thanks to tries from Alisa Hughes and Katie Fitzhenry while Jenny Murphy’s excellent kicking did the rest.

Fitzhenry ran over for another shortly after the restart while Paula Fitzpatrick added a brace. Hannah Tyrrell also got in on the act while Niamh Byrne put the icing on the cake and touched down following some terrific work from Kim Flood.

Munster’s slender victory over Connacht earlier in the day means it will be blue versus red in Donnybrook next weekend in the championship decider.
