Back three boost for Leinster as Nacewa gets all clear, Kearney returns to training

The fantastic captain had an x-ray on his arm after Friday’s win over Ulster.

LEINSTER HAVE BEEN able to report no fresh injury worries after their bruising Pro12 semi-final win over Ulster on Friday.

Captain and top try-scorer Isa Nacewa was the main concern following the impressive inter-pro victory as he left the field after 49 minutes. The Aucklander has been for an x-ray on the injury and that has shown no damage to the veteran back.

The eastern province will also be boosted by the availability of two more back three options when they face Connacht in Saturday’s Pro12 grand final in Edinburgh. Fergus McFadden is available to play again after suspension and Rob Kearney has resumed running after being sidelined with an ankle injury.

Jonathan Sexton and newly called-up England player Ben Te’o were assessed for glute and calf problems respectively, but backs coach Girvan Dempsey explained that both men were experiencing a touch of tightness and they will be fit to take on Pat Lam’s men.
