LEICESTER’S VICTORY PARTY got off to the perfect start with a convincing 3-1 win against Everton at the King Power Stadium.
Jamie Vardy bagged a brace and missed a penalty to claim his hat-trick as the home fans sang and danced their way through the encounter.
The England striker opened the scoring just five minutes in when he dispatched a neat Andy King delivery to the net.

King then doubled the Foxes’ lead on 33 minutes after some good work on the right wing by Rihad Mahrez.
Vardy made sure of the result when he converted a penalty, his 24th league goal of the season, just one fewer than the division’s top scorer Harry Kane, in the 65th minute.
Only seven minutes later it looked like Vardy would be taking home the match ball after a clumsy Darron Gibson tackle on Jeffrey Schlupp gave the striker another opportunity from the penalty spot. But Leicester’s front man blazed his effort well over the bar on this occasion.
Kevin Mirallas pulled one back for the visitors after 88 minutes but it was little consolation for Everton boss Roberto Martinez who will likely face further criticism from some disgruntled Toffees fans.
All that’s left now is for the players to get their medals and Wes Morgan to lift the trophy in front of the ecstatic King Power faithful. And that’s when the party will really begin.
