WEXFORD YOUTHS HAVE announced the signing of Wexford hurler Lee Chin on a short-term deal.
The 23-year-old helped Liam Dunne’s hurling team reach the All-Ireland quarter final, but has joined the county’s senior soccer side for the last six games of the SSE Airtricity Premier Division.
Chin has previous League of Ireland experience, previously lining out in the First Division for Waterford United, but will only play for the Youths until the hurling season restarts at the end of October.

Youths manager Shane Keegan hopes that the Wexford native can help the club through their current injury crisis, and keep them in the top flight.
“Lee is obviously a fantastic hurler but he’s a brilliant soccer player also,” Keegan told Newstalk.
He’s a cracking player, and we have a bit of an injury crisis at the moment at the back, and I just made some queries with Lee to see if he could come in and give us a dig out – and he was up for it so we were delighted.
“You can imagine the type of player that he is, he’s an athlete. Fit is an understatement . But he can play too.
“But look, he’s not embarking on a League of Ireland career, but he’s a proud Wexford man and he spoke to me about how proud he was that Wexford Youths were in the Premier Division.”
Chin could make his Wexford Youths debut on Friday, September 23 against Bray Wanderers at Ferrycarrig Park.
