THE GAA HAVE announced this evening that Laois and Armagh will replay their All-Ireland football qualifier clash.
The decision has been taken after it emerged that Laois fielded seven substitutes in their 1-10 to 0-10 win against Armagh last Saturday afternoon.
The official GAA statement reads:

“Following an enquiry form the CCCC arising from the Round 1A Football Qualifier between Laois v Armagh on Saturday June 18, it has been confirmed that one extra substitute was used by Laois in error.
“CCCC have proposed in accordance with rule, that this game should be replayed on Saturday July 2 at 3.0 in Portlaoise.
“Laois have accepted this proposal.”
Clare will face the winners of the game in Cusack Park in Ennis on the weekend of 9-10 July.
The seven Laois substitutions during the game were:
Alan Farrell for Darren Strong (44)
Jamie Farrell for Kevin Meaney (50)
Matt Campion for Niall Donoher (52)
Ross Munnelly for David Conway (54)
Gary Walsh for Paul Cahillane (58)
Gareth Dillon for Conor Meredith (70)
Shane Murphy for Brendan Quigley (black card, 73).
