ROBBIE KEANE’S LA Galaxy took the first step towards another MLS Cup title last night as they booked their place in the Western Conference semi-finals.

Emmanuel Boateng scored twice as the Galaxy beat Real Salt Lake 3-1 to set up a two-legged clash against the second-seed Colorado Rapids.

Steven Gerrard, who is still recovering from a hamstring injury, was in Bruce Arena’s squad but again played no part in Wednesday’s win.

Keane, 36, is targeting his fourth MLS Cup win with the Galaxy following the franchise’s successes in 2011, 2012 and 2014.
