'The Korean Zombie' marks UFC return with first-round TKO after three-year absence

Chan Sung Jung enjoyed an impressive comeback in last night’s main event in Houston.

WHILE SUPER BOWL fever has hit Houston, Texas, there was another show in town last night as Chan Sung Jung and Dennis Bermudez headlined UFC Fight Night 104.

It marked a return to the Octagon for South Korean featherweight Jung (14-4 in MMA before his latest victory), whose last appearance saw him lose a title fight to Jose Aldo back in August 2013.

The former title challenger stepped away from the sport in order to do mandatory military service in his native country but made his long-awaited comeback after a three-year absence on Saturday night.

Facing American Bermudez (15-5 in MMA), ranked ninth in the featherweight division, ‘The Korean Zombie’ made light work of his opponent with a first-round TKO via an uppercut to the chin.

A couple more wins and he will undoubtedly be in the mix for another title shot.
