Mahony weighed in with a golden haul of 0-14 as he continued his remarkable comeback just 15 months after suffering a horrific leg break in a club game.
His teammate Austin Gleeson, who hit 0-5, and Kilkenny’s Richie Hogan, who notched 0-4, were also nominated for the award.
