Cody makes four changes to Kilkenny team while Galway bring Lally into defence

The teams clash on Sunday in Pearse Stadium in the Allianz hurling league.

KILKENNY HAVE MADE four changes for Sunday’s Allianz Hurling League clash against Galway in Pearse Stadium.

Michael Walsh and Shane Prendergast are introduced to the full-back line with Paul Murphy reverting to his usual corner-back position.

Willie Phelane starts at midfield where he will partner Lester Ryan while John Power gets the nod at left corner-forward. Padraig Walsh switches to midfield while Richie Hogan goes to centre-forward.

Tomás Keogh, Jackie Tyrrell, Brian Kennedy and Geoff Brennan all drop down to the subs bench while Ger Aylward is added to the replacements instead of the suspended Joe Lyng.

Galway make one change to their team as Greg Lally, part of the Gort team that contested last month’s AIB All-Ireland club semi-final, starts at centre-back.

Positional changes see David Collins switch to wing-back, Iarla Tannian move to midfield while Andrew Smith is named at wing-forward.
