Cork coughed up a gift of a goal for Kieran Donaghy

The Rebels had given themselves a great chance with a superb opening goal in Killarney.

AFTER AN EXCELLENT start to today’s Munster Senior Football Championship final against Kerry, Cork contrived to give the All-Ireland champions an easy route back to level terms.

The above excellent goal and a point from Colm O’Neill gave the Rebels a four-point advantage after nine minutes, but Kerry managed to erase the deficit within four minutes.

Michael Shields was caught in possession just yards from his goal-line and Kieran Donaghy didn’t hesitate in punishing the error.
