Good evening everybody and welcome to this evening’s GAA liveblog. Jackie Cahill here taking you through the action in the EirGrid U21 championship. Our main focus is on Munster, where there are two big quarter-finals down for decision at 7.30pm. In Tralee, it’s Jack O’Connor’s Kerry and against holders Tipperary and in Cooraclare, it’s Clare against last year’s provincial runners-up Cork. We’ll also be keeping an eye on the Laois-Wicklow clash in Leinster and in Ulster, Derry are up against Antrim.

Here are the team-sheets from this evening’s Cork-Clare clash in Cooraclare. Clare are aiming to make the Munster U21 semi-finals for the fifth season in a row.

Here’s a better view of the Clare team, it appears that there is one late change, with Sean O’Donoghue coming in for Michael Duffy at corner forward.

 

In the Leinster championship, Laois and Wicklow will throw-in at 7.30pm at O’Moore Park in Portlaoise. In Ulster, it’s an 8pm start as Derry host Antrim at Celtic Park.

There are no late changes on the Kerry or Tipperary teams in Tralee this evening. Both will start as selected.

Clare hit the front against Cork in Cooraclare, leading by 0-1 to 0-0. Still scoreless in Tralee between Kerry and Tipperary. 

Clare and Cork are level at 0-1 apiece.

Micheál Burns fists a point to put Kerry ahead against Tipperary, 0-1 to 0-0 in the fifth minute. Tipp playing with a massed defence.

A Brian Coakley free puts Cork 0-2 to 0-1 ahead against Clare.

Wicklow have taken an early lead against Laois in the Leinster championship, leading by 0-2 to 0-1 in Portlaoise.

Clare’s Keelan Sexton has converted a free to level it up in Cooraclare, 0-2 apiece.

And Stephen Quirke has equalised for Tipperary against Kerry in Tralee, 0-1 each.

Cork move 0-3 to 0-2 ahead against Clare, Sean O’Donoghue with the point.

The holders Tipperary bow out against 14-man Kerry, who had Matthew O’Sullivan sent off in the first half.

Wicklow have scored a goal deep in stoppage time and trail Laois by two points – 3-9 to 0-20.

At Celtic Park, Derry are well in control against Antrim, leading by 0-14 to 0-3.
