William Harmon, who was a selector with the divisional outfit last year, has replaced John Sugrue who has stepped down from his role.

Radio Kerry Sport have reported that Harmon, a native of Miltown, will take up the position for the 2016 campaign.

Harmon was involved as South Kerry won the senior football championship after a final replay win over Killarney Legion last November.

He will be able to call on established Kerry seniors Bryan Sheehan – who is currently sidelined for a six week period with a hand injury – and Killian Young for their title defence.

Kerry senior defender Mark Griffin is now available to South Kerry after his club St Michael’s Foilmore were relegated from the senior club ranks at the close of last year.

St Mary’s duo Aidan Walsh and Denis Daly along with Valentia player Brendan O’Sullivan will be other key players for the divisional outfit.  That trio have all made their senior debuts in the league for Eamonn Fitzmaurice’s Kerry side this spring

Willie Power and Humphrey Shanahan will act as selectors alongside Harmon.
