The match takes place in Páirc an Ághsaigh, the home of Dingle GAA, at 3.30pm tomorrow afternoon and it’s all in aid of ‘Cáirde Friends Matter’, as part of their launch weekend.
The players from the two counties faced off in high-profile clashes, like the drawn and replay All-Ireland final in 2000. Between 1997 and 2004, Kerry and Galway won a combined haul of five All-Ireland senior titles and nine provincial crowns.
The feats of the players involved was illustrated by the fact that the two counties had 38 All-Star award winners – Kerry 20 and Galway 18 – in that same seven year time frame.
Eoin ‘Bomber’ Liston and John O’Mahony are the managers of the respective Kingdom and Tribesmen sides for tomorrow’s game, with Moynihan and Ray Silke the respective captains.
