The date and venue for the Munster football championship final replay has been confirmed

The race for tickets is on.

KERRY AND CORK will redraw battle lines in a fortnight’s time as their Munster SFC final replay has been scheduled for Saturday 18 July at Fitzgerald Stadium.

The sides couldn’t be separated this afternoon as the two fierce Munster rivals played out a thrilling 2-15 t0 3-12 draw in Killarney.

Fionn Fitzgerald’s last-gasp point means they’ll have to do it all over again, although on today’s evidence there won’t be too many complaints.

With Pairc Ui Chaoimh currently out of commission due to redevelopment work, the Munster council have decided to stage the replay at the same venue.

Throw-in time has yet to be announced.

Kerry – the All-Ireland champions – are hoping to win their third successive Munster crown while Cork haven’t won a provincial title since 2012.

The last Munster SFC final to go to a replay was back in 2006 when Cork eventually prevailed, beating the Kingdom 1-12 to 0-9 second time around.
