The date and venue for the Munster football championship final replay has been confirmed

The race for tickets is on.

KERRY AND CORK will redraw battle lines in a fortnightโ€™s time as their Munster SFC final replay has been scheduled for Saturday 18 July at Fitzgerald Stadium.

The sides couldnโ€™t be separated this afternoon as the two fierce Munster rivals played out a thrilling 2-15 t0 3-12 draw in Killarney.

Fionn Fitzgeraldโ€™s last-gasp point means theyโ€™ll have to do it all over again, although on todayโ€™s evidence there wonโ€™t be too many complaints.

With Pairc Ui Chaoimh currently out of commission due to redevelopment work, the Munster council have decided to stage the replay at the same venue.

Throw-in time has yet to be announced.

Kerry โ€“ the All-Ireland champions โ€“ are hoping to win their third successive Munster crown while Cork havenโ€™t won a provincial title since 2012.

The last Munster SFC final to go to a replay was back in 2006 when Cork eventually prevailed, beating the Kingdom 1-12 to 0-9 second time around.
