5 mins – Donegal 0-2 Fermanagh 0-0

Paddy McBrearty and Frank McGlynn have scored a point each to give Donegal an early lead. Eamon McGee is picking up Sean Quigley, that’ll be an interesting battle.

Rory Kavanagh picks up an early yellow card. He’ll have to walk a tightrope for the rest of the game.

9 mins – Donegal 0-2 Fermanagh 0-2

Despite slipping Barry Mulrone pops a ball over the bar from the outside of the boot. We’re level in Ballybofey.

12 mins – Donegal 1-3 Fermanagh 0-2

Odhran MacNiallis nets a brilliant goal for Donegal. Frank McGlynn slipped a lovely pass into MacNiallis after Donegal ran straight down the throat of Fermanagh’s defence. MacNiallis has been very lively so far.

14 mins – Donegal 1-3 Fermanagh 0-3

Sean Quigley and Eoin McHugh trade scores.

19 mins – Donegal 1-5 Fermanagh 0-3

McBrearty curls over a free. Donegal are looking comfortable. They’re really controlling the midfield sector.

20 mins – Donegal 1-5 Fermanagh 0-3

SAVE! Christopher Snow makes a good save from McBrearty’s close range shot on goal. Fermanagh need to tighten things up at the back.

Sean Quigley receives some verbals from Donegal defenders after he kicks a free high and wide. Quigley gives a wry smile. That sort of attention won’t bother him too much.

26 mins – Donegal 1-5 Fermanagh 0-4

Leo McLoone picks up a yellow for a high tackle on Tomas Corrigan. It’s a little bit harsh on McLoone to enter the referees book for that. Corrigan converts the free with that distinctive style. Fermanagh needed that.

31 mins – Donegal 1-6 Fermanagh 0-5

Every single time Fermanagh get a score, Donegal go short with the kick-out. Eoin Donnelly sends one over. At the far end MacNiallais reponds with a nice score.

32 mins – Donegal 1-6 Fermanagh 0-6

Tomas Corrigan converts his third free. Fermanagh’s tactic of running at the Donegal wall and winning frees inside the scoring zone is working so far, but they’ll have to create a little more from play to threaten the home side.

34 mins – Donegal 1-6 Fermanagh 0-7

Corrigan reduces the gap to two with another free. Fermanagh are pressing up on Donegal’s kickouts and McGinley kicks his second ball out over the sideline. Pete McGrath clearly wants to cut out those short restarts.

35+2 mins – Donegal 1-6 Fermanagh 0-7

PENALTY FERMANAGH! Neil McGee lead with his elbow and connected with Fermanagh attacker when he was coming out with the ball. McGee is sent off!

Sean Quigley trots forward to take the penalty. Big moment for Fermanagh.

35+4 mins – Donegal 1-6 Fermanagh 0-7

SAVE! McGinley pulls out a critical stop on his championship debut! Fermanagh have thrown away the chance to go in front at half-time.

Half-time: Donegal 1-6 Fermanagh 0-7

Neil McGee will receive a two match ban for that red card.

We’re set up for an intriguing second-half with Donegal down to 14 men. Fermanagh have dragged their way back into this game after pushing up on the kickouts and starting to run at the Donegal defence.

Christy Toye replaces Leo McLoone at half-time. We’re back underway in Ballybofey.

38 mins – Donegal 1-6 Fermanagh 0-8

Fermanagh’s spare man is James McMahon. He’s operating on the D, in front of his own full-back line. Sean Quigley wins a free and Corrigan pops over his fifth point of the day. He’s yet to miss a free today.

Ryan McHugh does really well to drive down the wing and win a free while under the close attention of two Fermanagh defenders. Murphy drags the free wide. Donegal needed a score there, they’ve been ropey in this second-half so far.

43 mins – Donegal 1-7 Fermanagh 0-8

Michael Murphy is finally on the scoresheet. He lands over a good free to restore Donegal’s two point advantage. He’s not fully fit but is still working incredibly hard.

GOAL! MacNiallais bags his second three-pointer! After excellent build-up play, Donegal’s quick hands saw the ball arrive to the unmarked MacNiallais to palm the ball into the net.

45 mins – Donegal 2-7 Fermanagh 0-8

Che Cullen is black-carded for a trip on Michael Murphy. Frustration is seeping into Fermanagh’s game. The goal has knocked the wind out of their sails.

49 mins – Donegal 2-8 Fermanagh 0-8

Martin O’Reilly’s second point arrives on the back of another good Donegal move.

Three late Tipperary changes with Conor Sweeney, Robbie Kiely and Jimmy Feehan coming in for Shane Leahy, Martin Dunne and Alan Moloney. Throw-in at Semple Stadium for their game with Cork is 3.30pm.

52 mins – Donegal 2-9 Fermanagh 0-8

McBrearty takes a nice score after a delightful ball inside by Michael Murphy. Those two are running the show at the moment. Rory Kavanagh has come in for Frank McGlynn who looks like he’s having a bit of trouble with his hamstring.

Fermanagh haven’t scored in 14 minutes.

59 mins – Donegal 2-10 Fermanagh 0-9

Corrigan’s latest free reduces the gap to seven points. Fermanagh haven’t provided enough of a threat from play. Mark McHugh is introduced for Martin McElhinney.

67 mins – Donegal 2-10 Fermanagh 0-11

Another free from Corrigan leaves five it in once again.
