INJURED IRELAND WING Tommy Bowe this morning wished his World Cup team-mate Keith Earls ‘all the best’ amid reports that the Munster man was on the verge of a move to Premiership club Saracens.
This morning, Rúaidhrí O’Connor of the Irish Independent reports that Earls has decided to take up a three-year deal in England over an offer to remain at Munster for family reasons.
“The IRFU will have to look at ways of keeping their best players in Ireland. It’s something they’ve been excellent at in the past,” Bowe told Newstalk’s Breakfast show.
“For people like Keith Earls, he’s had a fantastic career at Munster, I’m sure he would have loved to stay. But sometimes going to a new club can be a fresh start for him.
I’m sure he wouldn’t have taken his decision lightly, so I wish him all the best.”

Though Earls’ move is far from confirmed Bowe, who himself spent four years outside the IRFU umbrella as an Ospreys player, added a hope that Allianz Park’s proximity to home will mean the Moyross man is still considered to play for Ireland.
“Hopefully only being over in England, we saw with Johnny Sexton in France being able to come back and play for Ireland.”
